Jersey, part of the Channel Islands, is an island which can be found just off the coast Normandy, France.
Initially part of the Duchy of Normandy until 1204, when islands gave their allegiance to King John of England, a number of attacks were made on Jersey by France over the centuries that followed, coming to an end with the Battle of Jersey, featured in The Battle of the Strong, in 1781.
The island, a British Crown dependency, will be the setting for The Battle of the Strong movie - with its stunning locations and historical buildings being the perfect backdrop for the portrayal of this best-selling 19th-century story on the big screen.
